As we enter into the holiday season it is only fitting that we begin with Thanksgiving. Regardless of your feeling about the holiday it is as good a time as any to sit back and reflect on everything for which we have to be thankful. We, here at GameCon Memphis, are thankful for our wonderful children and supportive families. We are thankful for our friends who stand beside us and help us remember to live each day to its fullest. We are thankful for our many fans who have supported us as we put many hours into building not only a fantastic gaming convention, but growing gaming in our area as well. And we are thankful for the generous support we have recieved from others in the gaming industry, from companies such as Rio Grande Games & Games Workshop to local game stores like HobbyTown & Gamerz Depot.
We know that it is easy to get caught up in the commericalism that surrounds us during this time of year. However, we would like to remind everyone that the season would not be joyous without friends and family to share it with. So take some time out from the holiday shopping and the obligatory parties to sit down at a table with others and play a game or two. Don't focus on winning, simply enjoy the social side of the games and then crush them!
